Being located in Victoria's beautiful high country, we got an abundance of options to take in a breathtaking sunset over the hills or discover an unforgettable bird’s eye view.

Here are some of our favourite lookouts that will be sure to take your breath away!

Powers Lookout

Aka Instagram heaven!

  • Distance – 0.4km
  • Grade – 2
  • Facilities – Wheelchair access available at lookout 1, picnic and toilet facilities available

Paying homage to our unique history of Victorian Bushrangers, Powers Lookout was once the hideout of renowned bushranger, Harry Power and you’ll soon see why. Located on a rocky escarpment high above the King Valley, take in the picturesque landscape from two different lookout points as you find the perfect Instagram photo for your friends to be jealous of.

Enjoy natural rock formations and a few ladders as you reach the top for a view that has to be seen to be believed. Be sure to pack your bathers on a warm day, as a short distance away you’ll find a beautiful watering hole to cool off in. Sounds lovely to us!

Warby-Ovens National Park – lookouts and waterfalls

Warby Falls Heritage Trail & Ryans Lookout

  • Distance – 7.4km loop
  • Grade – 4
  • Facilities - parking facilities, picnicing and barbecue facilities.

For the more experienced hikers among us, the Warby Ovens National Park is home to the tracks and trails of your dreams. 10 kilometres west of Wangaratta, the many walks of this national park allow you to explore the beautiful flora and fauna of the area, including the Box-Ironbark woodlands and the many wildflowers of the Killawarra Forest. We recommend the Warby Falls Heritage Trail, a 7.4km loop that winds its way through a gully, where you can find waterfalls and historic treasures such as saw mills, sheep washes and weirs.

When it comes time to relax, be sure to visit Ryan’s Lookout, the perfect place for a family picnic and barbecue. With exceptional views and picnic facilities, you’ll be mesmerised by nature.

Mt Glenrowan

For everything you’re looking for and more!

  • Distance – 9km return
  • Grade – 3
  • Facilities- parking facilities, cycling available

High above the Victorian High Country, the Mt Glenrowan Lookout Walk boasts unparalleled views of the Ovens River, the King Valley and the Victorian Alps. Take in the spectacular scenery at Morgan’s Lookout or walk a little further to Ridge Track where you might find some woodland birds, reptiles and Grey Kangaroos.
