For those adventure and outdoor lovers, you’ve got three ski resorts to choose from – Mt Buller, Falls Creek and Mt Hotham are all just two hours away. Each resort offers ample fun and fresh air all year round, including bush walking and mountain biking in summer.
Cycling enthusiasts are spoilt for choice! Mountain bike riders have seven parks to choose from, offering a range of cross-country and downhill trails suitable for beginner to advance riders, all within 2 hours.
Road and gravel cyclists are in for a treat with some of Victoria’s highest mountains offering long climbs, speedy descents and epic views. The roads are generally quiet and dotted with great coffee, breweries and cafes to keep you fuelled. If you are looking for something flatter, the Murray to Mountain Rail Trail provides 100km of seal off-road cycling from Wangaratta to Bright.
